Use Settings to manage account identity, security, organization mode, and notifications.
Purpose
This guide covers:
- Profile name updates.
- Login email change confirmation flow.
- Password changes.
- Organization activation/rename.
- Notification preference toggles.
Prerequisites and permissions
- Signed-in account.
- Admin role required for organization rename and user-management actions.
Step-by-step workflow
1. Profile tab
- Update display name.
- Select
Save name.
Rules:
- Name is required.
2. Email tab
- Enter new login email.
- Select
Send confirmation link. - Confirm from email link.
While pending you can:
- Resend
- Cancel pending email change
3. Security tab
- Shows auth provider and whether password auth is enabled.
Change passwordrequires current password and new password (min 8 chars).
If your account has no password (SSO-only), use Forgot your password? to set password access.
4. Organization tab
Behavior depends on mode/role:
- Personal mode (
organization hidden): activate organization by naming it. - Organization mode as admin: rename organization and open user management.
- Organization mode as member: view organization details only.
5. Notifications tab
Manage:
- Usage threshold alerts
- Enabled endpoint with no outputs warning
- Security/account-change notifications
- Product updates
Rule:
- Usage threshold must be
>= 1when threshold alerts are enabled.
Expected result and verification checks
- Profile/email/security updates persist after reload.
- Organization actions match your role permissions.
- Notification toggles and thresholds save without validation errors.
Common issues and fixes
- Save disabled: ensure fields changed and required values provided.
- Password update failed: verify current password and minimum length.
- Organization rename blocked: name may already be in use.
- Threshold save error: set usage threshold to 1 or higher.
